Bitminer.io – Don’t Waste Your Time or Money

Bitminer.io

The saying “if it’s too good to be true, it usually is” is unfortunately generally true, and this is no different when it comes to finding legit Bitcoin faucets that really do pay.  Bitminer.io was one of the first “mining” sites I came across when I started my cryptocurrency venture.  Just looking at the “Profit per day” part of the site should be enough to tell you all you need if you think clearly about it, 0.0006 BTC a day for leaving the browser open.  As of writing this that’s $4.74/day, or $142/month.  Compare that to a more reasonable and proven site like CryptoTab Browser and it’s clear: Bitminer.io is scam!

To cash out, they say you need a minimum BTC amount of 0.005.  I finally saved up enough for this after about 10 days.  I cashed out and immediately got the notice “Our system has detected  2 free BitMiner V1.0 accounts on your IP address.  You can only have 1 free account at a time!  You need to Upgrade your BitMiner to make withdraws.  Withdrawals for premium accounts are not limited“.  Well I definitely didn’t have more than 1 account, in fact I knew better than to have more than 1 from previous GPT site experience, knowing that advertisers/site owners don’t allow this.

So let me get this straight.  This site promises a certain amount of free Bitcoin for mining.  As soon as you try and cash out they want you to upgrade your account to withdraw.  The cheapest upgrade to V1.1 is 0.01 BTC!  They want me to send them $79 before they’ll cash me out?  No.  Freaking.  Way!

Honestly if they had even cashed me out one time and sent me $30-$40 I probably wouldn’t have thought twice about reinvesting that money earned into getting an upgraded account anyways.  But to be forced to upgrade and pay for something with no proven payment to me first just doesn’t fly.  Add to that I did research and pretty much got the same disheartening info everywhere, everyone gets the same message when trying to cash out.  Don’t be fooled by the slick looking site like I did.  Stay away and spend your time on sites that actually pay!
